What types of asbestos are there?

The three you'll encounter in UK buildings are chrysotile (white), amosite (brown) and crocidolite (blue). All are hazardous. Blue and brown asbestos were generally used in higher-risk products like insulation and lagging; white asbestos is common in cement products and artex. Lab analysis identifies which is present so it's handled correctly.
